CRANFORD, NJ – Cranford High School’s Prologue Literary and Art Magazine has been recognized as “Excellent” by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The 2023 contest featured 375 student magazines from schools in 46 states and five countries.
“We are so proud of our students for winning this award, and we are honored to have received this distinction,” said Christine Szeluga, the school’s advisor for the magazine. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work put in by both the students and the teachers alike. Without their dedication and passion for the literary arts, this achievement would not have been possible.”
The Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazine (REALM) program publicly spotlights literary magazines produced by students with the support of their teachers. REALM is designed to encourage all schools to develop literary magazines that celebrate the art and craft of writing. Schools in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, US territories, Canada, and American schools abroad are eligible to nominate magazines.
