Parades are a deeply rooted tradition in Cranford. From boat parades to Halloween costume parades, our town loves to show their spirit for every holiday. As March quickly approaches, so does a new tradition being brought here to celebrate yet another holiday. This year on March 16th Cranford is holding the 1st Cranford St. Patrick’s Parade. Kickoff begins at 1 pm at the Community Center and continues through downtown. The Grand Marshall of the parade is Barry O’Donovan. Additionally, the Chair is Mayor Terrence Curran. This parade is being made possible by the combined efforts from the Trustee’s, Junior Trustee’s, Sponsors, CHS students, and many other people from our community. CHS students are playing an important role in the parade by marching and helping to build floats. We are excited to bring this new tradition to celebrate Irish heritage and bring our community together. And as the saying goes, “Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day,”so make sure to wear your green!
