Opinions were mixed when it came to the announcement of the Autumn Harvest Dance. While some students were excited at the prospect, many were skeptical. For those who decided to give the event a chance, it was certainly a great choice.
While it was not as big of a hit as prom always is, the Harvest Dance had good reviews for something viewed so controversially early on. The general consensus among attendees was that the dance was “more fun than expected” and that they felt happy they decided to attend. Despite most students not expecting much from the new edition to the CHS social calendar, the event seems to have been a worthwhile effort.

Activities at the dance included much of what you would expect with students mainly spending time dancing, eating, and hanging out with friends. The DJ played crowd pleasers such as the “Cotton Eye Joe” and the “Cupid Shuffle,” while also making sure to include some pop favorites from the 2010s.
In addition to dancing, attendees spent their time enjoying the various treats provided. With pizza, desserts, creative mocktails, and even allergy-friendly options available, there was something for everyone.
A hugely popular attraction was the photo booths. One provided printed copies and the other offered a ringlight to use with phones, both were a great opportunity to capture memories of the night.
Overall, it seemed that the Autumn Harvest Dance was a success. Only time will tell if this success will be repeated in the future. Could this be a new CHS tradition in the making?
