It’s that time of year. The sun is shining again, the air is getting warmer, and March is finally upon us. For sports fans, that only means one thing: March Madness is coming. The three week marathon begins with 68 teams, and eventually ends with one ruling the College Basketball world.. With the incredible number of games, and the tournament’s first round being played on a Thursday and Friday, there are always a few matchups that take place during school hours at Cranford High School. Some of my favorite high school memories are watching the early stages of the “Big Dance” at school, but many are unaware of how to watch games. Here are a couple of handy methods to make sure you don’t miss out on the madness this March.
Method 1: March Madness Live
This is one of the best methods to watch March Madness. All you need to do is go to the app store and download the March Madness Live app. From there, you simply sign in with your TV provider and boom, you’re in. You have access to all the games, live, at your own fingertips. This is definitely one of the top ways to watch thanks to the fact that it is free, and easy to set up.
Method 2: NCAA.com
This is another really good method. This option is accessible online, on your phone or laptop, and all you have to do is go to NCAA.com. From there the site is very self explanatory and you can select games to watch. Unlike March Madness Live, you don’t have to sign in or make an account which is a plus, however you only have a one hour free trial to watch. There is no sign in for the hour, and if you’re only watching for a short amount of time, then this site is definitely the way to go.
Method 3: YouTube TV
This option might just be the best if you are lucky enough to have a YouTube TV subscription. I understand that not everybody has this (myself included) but for those who do, this is an absolute gem. Not only do you get access to every game on your phone, but YouTube TV also has the famous multiview. This feature goes hand in hand with the first two days of the tournament and allows you to watch up to four games at once and truly experience the madness of March.
Method 4: Hulu+Live TV
Sure this doesn’t have multiview, but Hulu is much more popular than YouTube TV. The two apps operate very similarly, giving you access to all the games on your phone.
Method 5: Stay Home
Desperate times call for desperate measures. If you end the day with some easy classes or are lucky enough to have a study hall at the end of the day then you can leave school early. If you’re really feeling adventurous, then take the day, after all that bracket making I’m sure that you deserve the day off. You should obviously understand that you will have to make up work, but if you’re feeling daring, then witnessing the greatest day in sports may be in the cards.
